Follow God's Plan

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way (Psalm 37:23 NKJV).
To break the stronghold of stress, we've learned to make a move of faith, turn our problems over to God, plug into His power through prayer, listen for a word from Him, and act on our faith. Today we'll look at the final three steps:

Let God direct your path.
The psalmist declared, The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way (Psalm 37:23 NKJV). We receive our marching orders from heaven. Rather than continuing on a stress-filled road, pray for the Lord to guide you, lead you, and show you the path He has for you.

Praise God.
Regardless of the depth of the valley you are passing through, praise the Lord. Psalm 22:3 says that God lives in the praises of His people. Nowhere does it say that He inhabits the whining, griping, and complaining of His people. Faith and praise are not dependent on how you feel; both are acts of obedience to God. When you praise Him in a tough situation, He moves into that situation; and when He's involved, it can change!

Never give up.
The Lord knew in advance that at times you would become exhausted, fatigued, and stressed. That's why His Word says, Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not (Galatians 6:9). When will your answer come? In due season-in God's perfect timing. There's a time to sow and a time to reap. God knows the season. Let Him determine the season, and during the process, hang in there. Don't give up. I believe that if you follow these steps, the stress in your life can be a lot easier to handle.
