"I do not nullify the grace of God, for if justification were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose". (Gal 2:21)
Power (grace) came through the cross. God wants us, even with our imperfections. As much as we try to perform, God's gifts are free. God loves us because we are His and GRACE is bigger than our failures.
Moses stuttered. Mark got home sick, so Paul rejected him. Hosea's wife was a prostitute. Jacob was a liar. Amos' only training was as a fig tree pruner. David committed adultery. Timothy had ulcers. Lazarus was dead. Naomi was a widow. Paul was a murderer (Moses was, too.) Jonah ran from God. Jeremiah was depressed. Noah got drunk. Miriam was a gossip.
Things you must do to understanding God's Grace :
1. Don't frustrate His grace
by try to earn points with God by your works, you should do the right things out of your love for Him. (Gal 2:21)
2. Believe that His grace is sufficient for everything.
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2Co 12:9)
3. Speak grace to your mountain.
Everybody has mountains in life but Jesus (the Headstone) speaks grace to those mountains.
"Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of 'Grace, grace to it!'" (Zechariah 4:7).
4. Believe that His grace never runs out but he gives more grace.
Therefore it says, "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble." (James 4:6).
5. Believe that The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Grace
How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has spurned the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:29).
