I believe that we are in the last of the last days. Sometimes the pressure is intense. From the Message Bible, I Peter 4:7 says, Everything in the world is about to be wrapped up, so take nothing for granted. Stay wide-awake in prayer. Then verse 12 goes on to say, When life gets really difficult, don't jump to the conclusion that God isn't on the job. And verse 19 says, If you find life difficult because you're doing what God said, take it in stride. Trust Him. He knows what he's doing, and he'll keep on doing it.
I don't know about you, but it energizes my faith to know that no matter what's going on around me, God is still on the job, working behind the scenes. Right now He's rearranging things. If necessary, He's causing His angels to maneuver situations to help us.
Many of us are under some of the greatest pressure we've ever experienced. There is a lot of potential for stress today because of unrest, not only around the world but also in our personal lives. It seems that satan is intensifying his efforts against Christians. And attacks don't just come one at a time anymore; they come in bunches.
But never forget that no matter how impossible your situation might look, God is at work, and He knows what He's doing. Keep on trusting Him! Don't ever think that nothing good is happening just because you can't see it with your natural eyes. Something good is happening, because God is on the job!
